Alfonzo Jr Invites You Into His Parents New Store

In-House Craftsman, Alfonzo (dad) and our “mascot” Momo outside the shop.

“It’s not about having stuff, it’s about having opportunity.” That is the definition of this great Nation. The American Dream. Alfonzo Manzano, my father has been able to successfully respect and live out this goal. With a vast imaginative mind and a compassionate heart, he learned the art and skill of jewelry design in 1995. For the last 24 years his craft and skill has not only set the bar higher and higher with each project that enters is mind, but he brings passion and joy into every moment and piece of precious stone and metal he touches.

With my lovely mother, Gabriela Manzano, they began their journey in Mexico and migrated to the West coast. From there to the East. He learned of jewelry watching and reading the amazing works of local and famous jewelers of the time. Once leaving the East Coast they reached Berwyn IL and from there opened their first jewelry store. As time passed and so did their success, the business moved to Palatine and from there Mount Prospect. The community knew of my fathers creations, but what they also gained with their purchases, were glimpse of his honesty and kindness to his fellowmen and animals. By the year 1995 we had a third location in Hanover Park. I watched as my parents worked hard everyday to live each day full of blessings and success. Their morals never weakened even through rough times.

I hope that when you enter their now single and newest location, you will enjoy their warm welcomes. MoMo are mascot is always there for those who just want to say hello. And that you see the fine collection of pieces he has created throughout the years. May you see passion, faith, love, and pure skill in each and every one of them. He represents this great nation by being grateful for the amazing opportunity that was given to learn and live.

Our new home at 6 West Campbell St, Arlington Heights

5 star review  I stumbled into this quaint little shop by accident. They’re located in a busy trendy block across from Scratchboard Kitchen where I went to brunch. The owner was very accommodating and friendly answering any questions I had about their vintage silver pieces. Impressed by the knowledge and honesty, I decided to give them a couple of my prized possessions for a cleaning. Tired of the flippant customer service at Fred Meyers( where my husbands and my wedding rings were purchased) I decided to give my wedding rings to Sedona by Manzano Jewelers to repair and polish. I was very impressed by their quick but quality work. My rings were done in less than a week! I recommend this shop to anyone who wants to support a small business and receive quality work from hardworking people.

5 star review  What a lovely jewelry shop – unique beautiful pieces, many of them made on premise. The couple that own it are friendly and kind and their sweet sleepy dog made us smile. My daughter loves her ring and I love my necklace. This place is a great find – it’s a small shop of high-quality jewelry nestled in downtown Arlington Heights.
