Alfonzo Jr Invites You Into His Parents New Store
“It’s not about having stuff, it’s about having opportunity.” That is the definition of this great Nation. The American Dream. Alfonzo Manzano, my father has been able to successfully respect and live out this goal. With a vast imaginative mind and a compassionate heart, he learned the art and skill of jewelry design in 1995. For the last 24 years his craft and skill has not only set the bar higher and higher with each project that enters is mind, but he brings passion and joy into every moment and piece of precious stone and metal he touches.
With my lovely mother, Gabriela Manzano, they began their journey in Mexico and migrated to the West coast. From there to the East. He learned of jewelry watching and reading the amazing works of local and famous jewelers of the time. Once leaving the East Coast they reached Berwyn IL and from there opened their first jewelry store. As time passed and so did their success, the business moved to Palatine and from there Mount Prospect. The community knew of my fathers creations, but what they also gained with their purchases, were glimpse of his honesty and kindness to his fellowmen and animals. By the year 1995 we had a third location in Hanover Park. I watched as my parents worked hard everyday to live each day full of blessings and success. Their morals never weakened even through rough times.
I hope that when you enter their now single and newest location, you will enjoy their warm welcomes. MoMo are mascot is always there for those who just want to say hello. And that you see the fine collection of pieces he has created throughout the years. May you see passion, faith, love, and pure skill in each and every one of them. He represents this great nation by being grateful for the amazing opportunity that was given to learn and live.
I have had my watch fixed and my engagement ring fixed and cleaned here. The people that run the store are lovely, and they have a very friendly dog in there! Always very honest , and the price is always right!
While visiting family in Arlington Heights over Thanksgiving, my daughter found a ring she adored. Christmas, 18th birthday, and high school graduation loomed in the future so I took a card and filed it for future use. I had decided to purchase the ring for graduation, and then Covid-19 struck! We live in Tampa but Gabriela made it easy to “shop” via email and text message, always responding promptly, and shipped the ring to me at no additional charge. Even sent me a text to make sure I had received it when they were notified of delivery! We gave my daughter the ring last week on the day she was initially scheduled to graduate. She was so surprised and happy, she cried! It has been quite a year for all of us, and Sedona Jewelers helped us bring her JOY to mark the occasion!
What a pleasant place—a small jeweler in the heart of Arlington Heights. Beautiful selection of handmade and some antique jewelry, with helpful, informative owners. Excellent customer service.
